An expressive and soulful vintage for cabernet franc. Explosive nose of blackberry, fresh sage, cinnamon, lavender, and ripe black plum. Brimming with dark fruit and bittersweet baking chocolate on the palate with classic 2013 notes of savory cured meats. Striking for its energy, youth, and core of black fruit. Notes of espresso bean and black tea. Finishes with vibrancy and crunch. Dusty coating of fine tannins that frames the power of the wine poignantly. 81% cabernet franc, 16% cabernet sauvignon, 2% merlot, 1% petit verdot.
